It's quite easy to be negative about stuff and have a go at the guys and gals on the front line when things at your favourite slope goes wrong. So I thought I'd get a bit of positive vibes going and start a thread for you all to post up your compliments to the hard-working staff at our indoor and dryslope centres around the UK - without whom we'd be unable to go riding 365 days a year.

Want to give someone a mention for going above-and-beyond the call of duty? List 'em here...

Definitley rachel at Tam. She taught me and another girl on my learn in a day snowboard course. Id done one a few months earlier, but broke a few things -coccyx mainly. So I was very nervous about it all. She was absolutley amazing, really patient and so clear at her instructions. Its no surprise really that both the otgher girl on the course and I passed, and both wrote to the snowdome praising her.

ryan + matt, the ski hire managers at tam are awesome guys. always help us locals out when needed, and let us get toys out that otherwise probably wouldnt go out. Wink
stu and lee, who technically aren't staff, but have turned the whole ramp night scene around at tam due to their awesome setups!
THANKS GUYS!

Id like to mention the guys who taughts us at Kendal especially Stacy and vin who both have patients and a core understanding of how scary it is your first time on a board.
Thanks to them there is now 3 more obsessed boarders.
Also Dave Wilson who rides at Kendal he must be the nicest guy we'v ever met Danny thinks the sun shines out of his behind, he reshaped our slope for freestyle and is always there to lend a hand and encourage every one, he always smiles and makes time to talk to every one.
The fact that these guys do not get paid and do it for the love of what they enjoy best makes it so much more appreciated. Cool

awh, what a nice thread!

I love all the staff at Cas. Every time i take someone riding with me, they comment on "God lizz, you know everyone!" but it's just because the staff are so friendly and easy to get on with. And i guess going every single week for a year, people get to know your face, heh.

Big up to the huge amount of Ians who work there (i know 3 or 4 :/), Warren (sadly gone back to Wales) and Ben (who makes me chuckle), Dave, Oh, and the girl who works behind the bar, who's name i've never asked... and all the snowboard instructors who constantly give me tips and pointers even though they don't have to.

The staff at Tam are also excellent. Willing to talk, have a laugh and get the mix of sarcasm/mick taking/concern right when you fall over and really hurt yourself, like i did not long ago. I really like Tam, i should go more.

Well it's been pointed out on more than one occasion that Cas are the only slope who can be bothered to keep us informed about the contents of the park nights. Well done Damo, and DIY Dave for his efforts in actually building the parks.

John, what a lovely thought. Like!

Ditto Blueprint's comment. I have always found the staff at Snowdome to be friendly and helpful.
Especially Yasmin on reception!
