I had surgery on my knee last year and had my first trip to the snowdome yesterday. No problems so far with the knee, but for some reason I just couldn't get the confidence linking the turns.
Any recommendations?

The way I would do it if I was in your situation would be to go back to doing 'C' turns for a session or two.
Then when I was comfortable doing 'C' turns I'd decrease the time between turning one way then the other until I was linking the turns again
But i'm not a qualified instructor so there may be a better way to go about it |

Keep us updated on how you get on. I snapped my achilles back end of last year and will still be a while before I'm back on a board but I know that the first few runs I'll be nervous as hell.
As ruffers suggested I think it's a case of starting easy and building up again. I sail as well as board and just had my first trip on a boat since I did my achilles and let the rest of the crew do the work while I just got used to moving around the boat again and just building up the confidence that the repair job on my achilles is now strong enough to take some abuse again. |

| Hi, I would recommend a lesson. Its great way to build up your confidence again and take things at your own pace. The instructor can guide you through the technique again, refresh your mind and ease you back in gently. after a 1-2 hour session you should be feeling good about your riding again. |

Hey! Good to hear your back on a board.....
Building confidence..... Back to basics and take it step by step. It will help rebuild your muscle memory and muscles!
Do your side slip, diagonal side slip, Garlands (turn the board to the fall line then chickening out) then on to your C turns, then in to linking them. take it a step at a time and make sure you feel comfortable doing each before moving on.
