Anyone going to see this at the weekend?
Is it going to be really scary? I hate horror films but think this is going to be more "tense" than horror. Am thinking of going to see it in the morning so I'm not too scared when I go to bed!
I realise that sounds so lame! |

Gonna go watch it at some point. From the brief insight I've had of you from what you have written above, I think the answer is yes, it's going to be really scary for you. Get a big bag of popcorn to hide behind |

I should imagine that it'll be similar in tone to Aliens and, like Ridley Scott's other films, will be more tension than fright.
(Interesting/uninteresting fact: I wrote an essay for GCSE media studies on the methods used to build up tension in Aliens. I thought it was awesome because I was allowed to watch a cert 18 film in school when I was only 15/16) |

I would drive it, judging by all the stuff I've read about the film it will be worth it. I do a 40 minute drive to the cinema anyway and it doesn't bother me. All the cinemas near us are crap so we go to Cineworld at Didsbury and go in Nandos after. I Nandos! |

Funniest review I read said it's like alien withour ripley running around in her knickers.
I may go see it this weekend, or leave it till it quietens down a bit next week. |

I dont go to the cinema anymore, too many selfish people who think it's ok for them to sit and talk and/or play on their mobiles
why is it some people think it's ok for them to talk in the cinema? |

| Let me know what its like. I kinda want to watch it, but I've heard one or two not so great reviews - friends and from Mark Kermode saying that if you've seen the trailer, you've seen the best bits of the film... |

Mmm I can do cinema and nandos on my doorstep (like 30 seconds walk) which is why I don't ever make it to the imax haha!
And I don't like scary films either but gonna be brave! |

I dunno where you live but i've never had that problem, if people are irritating tell them to shut up.
I much prefer to sit in the comfort of my own living room and watch films on my 60 inch telly, drinking a cold beer, than sit with the selfish masses who sit there talking and generally bring annoying
The benefits of watching films at home far out way the benefits of the cinema for me |
