Hey guys

So I might be going on this kayaking trip later on in the summer so I'm on the look out for decent, cheap-ish but 100% reliable waterproof bags. Just small ones for phones/ and small important personal things that cannot get wet!! I've had a look at the websites for Overboard and Aquapac who both do them but just thought I would ask if A- any scukers use anything like this? and B- any recommendations..?

Cheers!

I've got a couple of dry sacks for when I'm diving, they're either Overboard or Sea to Summit. I think most of the roll-top type bags are pretty similar, just need to make sure they're closed properly.

I've never had any problems with them leaking or anything, so it's a +1 from me. A mate borrowed one of them when he was travelling last year and said they had some pretty torrential rain and his stuff stayed dry.

We got some aquapac stuff at work. Nobody seems to complain about it

thanks for the advice!

I'm looking for a small one like the ones on this site: OverBoard But appreciate the info - good to know they seem to be pretty reliable!

Haha nice one pocket. But would you risk putting your phone in a bin bag knowing that it will get wet?

I will however be bringing bin bags with me for this kayaking trip to trp and keep my bag of clothes and sleep bag etc dry.. going to Tesco later to by some strong bin bags especially! :-p

Don't know if you're still looking but I bought some Ortlieb dry bags. The military use them apparently and I feel confident in them. I'm filming a Kayaking trip this weekend using my expensive camera so I'll be stashing it in that when I'm not using it.
Can get them in all sorts of sizes so I'm sure you can find something decent enough. Definitely seem durable and rugged enough to do the job many times over compared to cheaper options.
