Hi guys,

My little daughter has been learning to board over the last season, not in resort, but in the UK domes.

We are looking to book next seasons trip away, its going to have to be in Feb half term, so does anyone have any ideas of where to go that possibly meet the following:

Good little park for first timers?
Fairly quite resort, I know this is going to be difficult as its half term.
Mainly Europe, we know Morzine like the back of our hand and I know they have got the kids park, which would be ideal, but Morzine is busy as hell during Feb half term, so we are looking at possibly somewhere different.

If anyone has any suggestions we would appreciate it.

Cheers

Jon

is it worth considering austria or switzerland instead of france? only because france gets rammed cos of all the french half-terms coinciding with the uk ones.

for the week of the scuk bash last year in mayrhofen, we coincided with the austrian or german half-term. even though we did queue to get down in the afternoons, it was only bad on the first couple of days.

the zillertal valley area offers lots of places to visit, and (not that i used them) lots of parks too.

I have been out to Austria a few years back and there are some understated places around that a slightly off the radar of tourists, may look down that route then.

Hi,

We're based out in La Plagne and there is a beginner park here with green jumps and boxes to have a go on. There is an air bag too which lets you try out a much bigger kicker without having to worry about the landing!

Happy planning . . .
Heather

let me know where you choose, my girl is 7 to. Just got her skiing and past her level 4 at MK and took her out on her own last week. Very nervous about taking her on to the mountains though, my ex would go mad if anything happened!
How did she take to boarding?

I have been taking my daughter to Morzine and Avoriaz, she will be eight next season. We may be there over during half term so if you are too, it would be good for them to do lessons or ride together.

Mjb22001:

My little one has always been focused on starting to board, obviously lessons in the UK cant start until she is 7, but like your little one, she was skiing at the age of 4. She has really taken to boarding, progressed really well, having lessons both at MK and Castleford.

kaicasswell:

We will most probably end up out in Morzine, as we know it so well it will most probably be our choice. If we do, it would be great to meet up, the thought of 2 little shredders on the slope is a good one and I am sure my little one would love that.
