I used an old trailer tyre. That way it's not too big for jumping onto. Well worth it for next level balance skills.

Great read though, me and my other half have this conversation all the time. while you can progress technique after mastering the basics everything in between that is mainly phsycological - i got my first black runs under my belt this season by bringing my riding back to basics and reminding myself to control speed and make nice slow relaxed turns; by the next holiday of the season i was bombing down them! In April i'm going to tackle my nemesis from last season in Mayrhofen - Black Run 17 will be smashed!  |

| Black 17 is one of my faves. Great on a blue bird day, early morning. End up training the campers on it most weeks. Enjoy smashing it. |
