Anyone else running this yet?
Flashed my Sensation with the ROM from Virtuous last night as an upgrade from a CM7 ROM that was only in Alpha (despite saying they support the Sensation, they don't have any stable releases avaiable and doubt they will until CM9+). It's got some HTC framework left in there, themed to match ICS, but the HTC Sense UI has been all but completely removed in favour AOSP.
Pretty impressed, it's aesthetically awesome and runs like a dream - much snappier than my previous CM7 ROM which was in turn an improvement on the stock ROM.
Love the face-recognition to unlock feature, bit of a gimmick and doesn't always work but it's cool none the less!
Also finding the browser is much faster, both on WiFi and data. The phone just generally feels like it's had a performance boost. Camera features are nice as well - cool to have panoramic photos.
Over all though, it's just so sleek and everything feels cleaner cut and clearer. |

| Good thing mobile phones use plastic lenses in their cameras for your facial recognition aye Chas? Tends to just warp and distort rather than shatter like glass would |

As I said though, it's only a gimmick! If it can't recognise you, or anything, it defaults to either a pattern or a pin-lock (whichever you chose when setting it up). |

I wanted to install ICS but the internal memory is tiny on my nexus one so will have to stick with 2.3.3 for a while longer.
My contract is up in a couple in a month or so, I will look to getting a phone with ICS then. At the moment im thinking of the Galaxy Nexus just because i can't bare when the manufactures mess with stock install. |

I'm currently tapping this out on the new Transformer Prime with ICS and loving it!
One of the guys at work has got it on his Nexus S and it works really well on the small screen too. I've even heard a few of the die-hard IOS fanboys say they prefer it and find the iphone interface a bit dated now. I'm thinking of putting it on my Desire Z if there's a stable ROM kicking around. |

I've flashed the Virtuous ROM, linked in the first post. It's supposed to be pretty stable - the only bug (known to the devs) I've encountered so far is the caller ID not showing until the phone's unlocked. They seem to be pretty on top of fixing issues.
I've noticed a definite improvement with WiFi - quicker than when I had it on a stock ROM. Haven't yet used bluetooth, but then I rarely ever do.
If you're happy to root, s-off and change supercid I'd say go for it, as it really does kick ass! |
