| As above really. Anyone ridden a board with Rome's 2012 quickrip sidecut? Is it actually any good at "making the board ride long and short" or is it just another marketing term to make people less scared of bombing around on their short, flexy rocker boards? |

I used my artifact rocker away this season, it has le quickgrip (quickrip different for 2012?) sidecut and it held an edge okay but I would not say any better than any other rocker board. Rode it in pow/piste/offpiste on some steeps and it struggled a bit in places but did better than I thought it would. I didn't die falling off a cliff which was nice.

i've got an artifact rocker from about 3yrs ago i think (bronze edges, not quickgrip/rip or the likes) and while its a fun board, it doesnt hold an edge.
If cwj's has the tech and is holding an edge at all it must work! |

I think they introduced it as quickgrip but changed it last year to quickrip. All the marketing guff says it has been revised slightly compared to last year (as always) |

| I've been riding this year's Postermania 155W with Quickrip, since last Feb. At first I was a little apprehensive of moving to such a small board for my size. However it'll happily hold an edge when carving at 40mph+ on piste, while still being pretty agile in the park/dome. |

| I highly rate it on their rocker boards. My Agent Rocker holds an edge really well when you wouldn't expect it but I can still muck about on it without too much fear. I tested the Reverb Rocker at the board test which is softer than the Agent and that held an edge at speed better than I thought it would. |

| Sounds like it makes a difference then! Cheers guys, I'm guessing it doesn't make up for all the disadvantages but it's better to have than not have! |

I'd have to agree with Charlie (again )
I've got the 2011 Agent Rocker and it really does handle like a shorter, more playful board until you put it right over on its edge when it grips and carves almost as well as my positive camber 2007 Rome Anthem.
I wouldn't know how effective it is on a purely rockered board, but on their hybrids (like the Agent/Reverb Rocker) it works well. |
