It was quite a wipe out, Going about 30mph down a Red Run at Les Deux Alpes. Thought it would be clever to go into an off piste area. The front of my board caught, and I flipped over head over heels. I've emailed the relevant sources, I'm just waiting to hear back.
On that basis I'd probably replace it. If it was a lower speed simple caught an edge on a cat like a spoon and cracked the peak job it'd be different but not worth the risk as it was a biggun' |

The polystyrien in the helmet may not have noticeable cracks in, but it's most likely lost its rigidity, at the end of the day, if you're questioning if you should replace it or not, then chances are, you know that you should. £40-60 or potential brain damage? I know what I'd choose. End of the day, its your head, if you feel confident in your lid then it's all good. I'd personally replace it.

Ouch, that was a fairly moving video!
Anyone know of a Sandbox Brainbucket/Bern Baker style lid for a 62-63 size head? It's huge, I know.. but neither Bern or Sandbox seem to make lids for a head my size, relegating me to helmets I don't like the style of and thus am less likely to wear. |

| Red Mutiny, I have a 'larger' head and cant fit the bern lids but the mutiny fits and has the peak style. |

you fell over and cracked your helmet and you want a replacement? thats like going back into a shop with an the wrapper of a chocolate bar youve just eaten and asking for a new chocolate bar.
and youre annoyed! would you rather have a crack in your forehead?
imo you got your moneys worth, time for a new one? |
