I'm not wanting it waxed for a speed improvement -
why the devil not? a board that is super slippery is so much nicer, easier and more of a pleasure to ride. Nothing to do with racing.
Too true, the slow-down was markedly noticeable on the last day for me this year and it bugged me all day! |

| One issue that i noticed has gone unaddressed is the factory wax on the new board (your wifes) , factory wax is horrible man, best thing to do is re-wax the thing. |

Not always.. I rode my SL on factory wax and it was great, it just didn't last all that long (about three days), as someone mentioned before it can depend on how long ago it was manufactured and thus has been sat around for. |

So strip them both back, and apply a fresh coat of All Temp wax then?
Less than a week to go - can't wait!! |

| Factory wax is only put on to stop the base drying out, it goes through lots of grime (in transport etc)by the time you get it, so its relatively useless, never have i found any of my boards over the years to be any good with the factory paste, when i got my bataleon waxed properly for the first time the difference was like night and day! |
