Loop for the Chilli bowl or burger, L'Arbina (opposite Aeroski) for pizza, Sachette in Brevierre for Tartiflette.

Saturday and Sunday the Loop all day breakfast id superb.

La Fruitierre next to Folie Douce for quality but mega expensive mountain food.

A trip to Fornet is a must. Not only is the valley full of untouched powder but the restaurant at the bottom (under the cable car) is full of good cheap food. Avoid the Eidelweiss just above this. It used to be good but is not so any more.

Sod the expense and have a few drinks at Folie Douce. It's a great atmosphere there and €10 for a beer and a Vin Chaude. The Thomeuses lift is open until 5pm and then its a simple blue back to VC.

I just got back last night from an 11 day trip. Conditions are the best I have seen in the last 4 years in Espace Killy.

I'm bumping this, rather than starting a new thread.

Me and my friend going out on the 3rd to the 17th and staying in Val Claret. If anyone else is about, gimme a holla, fo shiz and whatnot.

Any other recommendations for where we are staying? First time out to Tignes, so anything would be helpful. Very Happy

Depends what you're looking for, 'big' night out stuff is pretty much all in VC, plus a few bars. Also a few bars worth checking out in Le Lac/Lavachet, 10 minute free bus ride away.

It's probably possible to have a good time anywhere if you drink enough!

We've got a couple of irons, hit us up when you get here!

As others have mentioned, Loop Bar is a cool little place, although last time we went we got absolutely hammered on toffee vodka before realising we couldn't actually get back to Le Brevieres, resulting in some incredibly wonky moonlit snowboarding from Les Boisses back down.

Cheers 101 [if that is your real name...etc etc] I shall remember that Very Happy

Yeah, I'm not too fussed on having to do wonky moonlit riding TBH. Daytime riding is pretty wonky enough, really Wink

Prob around 30% abv, certainly enough to kick in after 7 odd hours of drinking.

Go and see Noel (french dude) in Bazoom Boardshop at Tignes Rond Pont Val Claret (opposite Tichot chair and place where the free buses turnround) for all your board needs. Does excellent hand wax and board prep with his ''special blend'' of all mountain plus wax(!) Dunno what he used, but all his demo boards were sweeeet! Cool
