(our EDI-KRK flights for March were coming in at £195 alone)
That sounds a lot.
The baggage is the killer on the RyanAir flights. £50 each way for a snowboard bag!! Combine bags and travel light.
One interesting thing I noticed with RyanAir: if you book flights separately then the return flight is charged in euros, not pounds.
So they only charge 50 euros for the snowboard bag which is about £42 at the mo. |

| They were Easyjet flights £145 + £50 carriage. We wouldn't even look at the Ryanair Edinburgh to Bratislava flight due to the late arrival and then having to get a train. Waaay too much hassle for us. |

Fair enough Sam. It's a chance for us to go to a resort before the Crystal/Inghams crowds start doing it. I think a bit of hassle is to be expected really. The journey is all part of the fun |

| The off-piste and the trees are the main attraction of Jasna. That and the 1 Euro beers, the attractive ladies, and the amazing array of bad jumpers that the Slovak men wear... |

Plenty of great riding, guiding, grub and beers without the hefty Alp pricetag.

From next season we will be running transfers to and from Krakow for £40 return per person to make it that little bit less hassle....
sounds a good idea.. transfers are always costly and in some cases will put people off. |

snowbadger: the company recommended on Propaganda's website http://www.tatratransport.com/ say Krakow transfers "from €120" (their booking system is broke so I couldn't get a more accurate price) - so it's only really economical if you are in a big group.
The train from Bratislava is €18 for "first class" and €12 second class. |

Yeah, more than we wanted to pay. Okay if you can split it between a few of you though I guess (not sure if they have a per-head price)
Just take the train. That's what we are doing.
I'd rather spend 3 hours on a train than in a car/minibus anyway.
usually more legroom and I like being able to get up and go for a walk/slash/drink. |
