Not sure where, but I think I saw somewhere about not wearing 2 pairs of socks, sound familiar to anyone?
I usually wear a normal/thin pair of socks under my boarding socks, for some reason it wouldn't feel right just wearing my boarding socks on their own, dunno why.
What do you do? |

| Yeah one pair of good quality boarding specific socks only for me (not ski/tube socks.) As yoda has said, if you find you're needing to wear 2, then your boots are probably too big or your inners have been stretched. |

My boots are pretty old and I wear 2 pairs,
1 normal pair of socks
+ then over the top my actual boarding socks
I've never had issues and feel comfy all day, I dont tend to sweat much though
I can imagine some people have issues if one of the socks slips down and creates a pressure area, or if they sweat alot |

I always thought you were only meant to wear one pair of socks - and they weren't really meant to be that thick.
Do 2 pairs not cause blisters?
I got a few pairs of Burton socks for Christmas which I'll test out in 3 weeks time. I tried my boots on with socks they gave me in the shop (I went straight from work and forgot about taking socks!) and they weren't that thick either. |

Whatever works for you i guess.
I will say that tube socks are the work of satan himself.
Go for proper fitting socks |

| I wear a pair of Bridgedale socks that wick away moisture, usually a 2 pair combo for extra foot bedding ( Prevent riding fatigue on balls of feet) cushioning effect + prevents any boot rubbing. |

| 2 pairs of socks = foot moving around inside the boot = heel lift + more. with a pair of properly fitting boots you barely even need one pair of socks! |

I have some Accapi Nexus socks, which are rather amazing.
You shouldn't really need two pairs, but if it works for you, then why the heck not.
Certainly for hiking a thin pair of silk socks can work wonders for blisters and also for warmth, but you really don't want your feet moving around in your boot at all. |

Thanks - do you get heel lift at all? Can I ask what boots you are in and if you have normal, fat or skinny ankles? |

Hmm, they look quite interesting for all sorts of sports.
Do you just wear them as they are short sock which I would have thought was a bit weird in the boot?

| I only wear 1 pair of socks ever, but the 3 littlest piggies on my left (front) foot always start complaining after a few runs if it means turning right a lot. |
