Hi,
Still weighing up the Winter Bash, and thought I'd see what equipment I'll need. I'm a beginner level, so won't be doing anything too extreme.
Currently have:
- Goggles
- Gloves
- Pants
- Jacket
- Snowboard/Boots & Bindings
- Socks
Anything else I'd need? |

I would recommend some wrist guards and if you don't like falling on your arse too much then I would suggest some impact shorts to prevent some bruising.
I always ride with a helmet and they are not too expensive, but I guess you can hire them there.
A combination of thin layers you can just keep adding to instead of lots of heavy clothes.
If you a chocolate lover I would buy from the UK as it's so expensive on the slopes.
That's just about it I think. |

Good tips there, thanks
Was just looking at thermals online, but I always found myself getting really hot when we went to Cairngorms and couldn't just dump my jacket. Might bring a long-sleeve t-shirt to go under my jacket and maybe a couple of normal Ts to go over that if need be. |

Thermals are what's bugging me at the moment.. As I've never really experienced mountain conditions it's hard to judge. When I go to Chill Factore I just wear a t-shirt under my jacket and that's enough, but there's no wind deal with there and it's only -3c.. Hmm..
I'm pretty unfit so I should warm up pretty quickly and my jacket seems substantial enough. I guess I could shop out there if desperate. |

| the idea is they don't just keep you warm, they keep you dry, they wick away the sweat from your skin so when you do stop your not sat about in a soggy cotton tshirt. look at something like helly hansen lifa dry can usually pick them up for a good price and will be cheaper buying at the resort. |

| You wont notice the cold boarding but the 10 mins on some of the big chair lifts gets cold. I usually go with base layer, tshirt and jacket |
