Anyone got any good Dubstep I can check out? Hitting the XL park in Whistler so need to zone out. Any you tube link I can follow up would be cool.
P.S. I don't care if you don't like dubstep each to their own!

I'm too old to like dubstep, but whenever I hear any, I quite like it. Only really been exposed to it when watching stuff like NONSTOP on YouTube though. I can't get enough of watching that guy do his popping and locking thing
Anyway, back to the prog rock. |

I'm not 100% sure if you'd class this guy as 'straight' dubstep, but he is great. American producer by the name of Pretty Lights, does lots of deep bassy electronic stuff. Added bonus... all of his music is available free for download from his site;
http://prettylightsmusic.com/
If you like it then you can leave a donation. Listen to his Radiohead/NiN/Nirvana remix he has up there. It's AWSM (Torstein uses a lot of his stuff on his vids too). |

I'm with you, Oliver plays it in the car, actually I don't 'dislike' it, I just feel I'm always waiting for it to start...it's like a background, not an unpleasant background, but there's no foreground. |

| I just don't get it. I don't think there's ever been a time in my life when I would have got it either so it's not an age thing. |

I find a lot of it to be a bit disparate and constructed from the drum n bass cutting room floor. I found this band quite interesting though as its not an easy genre to cover....

Thatll be the drumstep/skreaching midrange dubstep , roots dubstep was derived from dubby 2step garage sounds hence the name dubstep and sounds nothing like drum and bass |
