Hi all,
I'm looking for some new gloves for around £30 - £40. I want them to be warm but also low profile (ish). I've heard some good reviews on dakine broncos but would like to hear other people's thoughts and alternative suggestions. |

| Can't go wrong with goretex. Although for £30-£40, im not sure you'll be able to get a really decent pair |

I have a black goretex pair for £40. My personal preference is that gloves don't matter too much to me I guess whatever keeps you warm and takes your fancy but if we start talking about neck warmers i could go on all day |

Except that most park gloves I've seen aren't actually waterproof. |

So as I say should be fine for piste use!
The thin 'real' park gloves leave your hands cold and wet after a couple of hours, the thicker park 'style' glove can take a day of scraping ice out of your bindings before they let up but will soon be wet if your swimming out of waist deep powder.
Don't know what the OP will be doing but he asked for low profile gloves, to me they fit the bill perfectly. |

| Got a pair of Level Bombers, nice and warm, not had wet fingers yet and full leather construction mean they are built like the proverbial... |

Going to go out on a limb and say these:
http://www.ultimateoutdoors.co.uk/item/Brand_OutdoorDesignsMckinleyGlove_989_0_30561_1.html
Are probably the best featured glove for the money you can buy (quite a bold claim now I've written it....)
eVent lining (essentially a more breathable Gore-Tex)
Thermolite insulation (light and very warm)
Tough as old boots
Dextrous enough for Snowboarding
Good cuff length and closure so no powder in your glove
And only £25 - 40 depending on where you get them
I've used them for the last few years and they are superb. |

I just bought some POW Tanto's they can be had for just over £40.
Really well made glove, looks more than it costs.
Soft leather, very dexterous but also very warm.
The cuff is quite short if thats an issue for you.
Otherwise I love them. |

I'm considering going leather, fed up of my gloves getting soggy.
Having said that, I think that also has a lot to do with getting snow inside them, opposed to it making its way through from the outside! |
