From what I've heard Mint are a good bet for freestyle lessons in Morzine. I might do an afternoon session with them to escape the fam, will let you know how they are if I do

Im there shortly aswell Smile I think one thing that hasnt come up yet is that you might want to check whether your lift pass gets you into Avoriaz, or whether it is just for Morzine/Les Gets?

If you are not able to get to the Avoriaz side then would suggest getting away from the main area of Morzine / Pleney and heading to the bowl in Les Gets (Ranfolly area) or to Nyon / Chamossiere.

Definitely a good call on heading to Mt Chery in Les Gets. The slopes are always super quiet and you have a choice of both south and north facing slopes. There is a small snowpark up there as well.

The snow is great out here at the moment... a good time is guaranteed wherever you end up riding! Have fun...

Mont Chery park is great fun and well looked after. Plus great to blast around. Also the cafe at the top serves the best pasties ive ever had !!

Also if you go up the Pleny, its a nice warm up run to get to Les Gets.

Oh and don't forget the mutzig Razz

I'm staying in Les Gets next week and travelling alone. I'm a boarder, although haven't been on the slopes for 4 years. I was previously getting comfortable switching on the reds. I'm having a nightmare finding a school which is running a group or has others of the same requirements next week. Anyone have any other suggestions or a way to find some other boarders to hit the slopes with - not keen on going out alone...

thanks!
Hayley

I love Avoriaz!

Stash is fun - you don't have to be a pro to enjoy it.

My kids are 11 and 8 and they had a ball!

Combe de Floret is a nice run but make sure you go down Ardents otherwise you will be pushing the flats.

Will be in les gets next week and am properly looking forward to these quiet park laps i've been hearing about! also heard there's a good irish bar which wont go amiss! Hayley, checked about group lessons with mint my self and if you can get over to avoriaz then they're a sure bet. bus journeys do eat in to time on the slopes tho!
