Myself and step son got stranded in Meibel on Thursday (~3.30pm) when various lift closures stopped us returning to Val Thorens.

Eventually, us and all the other stranded people got taken down the mountain and back up the other side to return everyone back to St Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires and Val Thorens!

Only problem was the road was trashed between Les Menuires and Val Thorens and hence had to get off at Les Menuires.

After lots of confusion we ended up in the tourist information and was given a matress/blanket in the sports centre with 50+ other randoms. Got given food vouchers for the restaurants for that evening and some more the following day for breakfast and lunch which was nice!

Eventually returned to Val Thorens at ~9.30pm on Friday ! Overall a very unpleasant experience but sh1t does happen sometimes! Some other people never made it into the sports centre due to space and were paying 200+ Euro a night for a room. I love the way the French like to make money out of other peoples misfortune - not like the entire 3 Valleys makes enough money is it...!
