So I had a house party last night with close friends to see in the new year.

A nice respectable gathering of mostly couples around the same age as myself, so late 20's- early 30's

Everything was going well, we saw the new year in and at 12 went outside to let off some sky lanterns...

One of the guys, a close friend who i went to school with left as we were doing them with his girlfriend as he was very p*ssed.

So I get back into the house to find one of the girls picking up the table, drinks and food everywhere, turns out the guy kicked it over when he left, what a c0ck, but oh it gets better

I go upstairs to find the bathroom flooded with p*ss with the bath mat chucked on the floor to soak it up, and when I say flooded i mean literally a few cm over the whole bathroom, I then go in the spare room to find it littered with the contents of the book/dvd shelf and my desk turned over. fortunately it looks like he missed my £800 electronic drums but he smashed my new snowboard bindings which i brought specifically for a holiday in 2 weeks and has ripped my snowboard trousers.

Steve isn't a happy bunny!

That's why you should never host! A hard lesson to learn. I was taught it at 16 when my mates coloured someone with green marker who was asleep on the sofa. Slept the night and sweated green dye all over the cream sofa

He's buying me a new set of bindings and some new trousers. fortunately for him they were only burton freestyles and they werent brand new so he can go on ebay and get some that way if he wants. God forbid he had touched the little ladys set up, she would have smashed his face in!

Like you say a lesson learnt, i honestly thought it was going to be a nice civil event and was for the most part

I guess if you jumped on the high back in a certain way you could break that the straps are normally plastic/fabric so easy enough to cut up with a knife.
The freestyles are tough but would break if jumped on in the wrong way.

He'll pay up and is motified, ive made him feel rightful ashamed by the whiole situation so along with the new stuff, and a message i made him send everybody to apologise for his behaviour i think thats recompense enough!

He somehow knocked over my desk in there which is a bit heavy duty computer desk. It landed square on the top binding buckle and has completely mashed it as its only a plastic one and has also put a crack the through the brace which the highback sits against.

Photos to follow as the misses has got the camera!

Ive calmed down now though and am looking for a new set of burton freestyles!
My trousers were 90 quid too so unless i can find the same ones on sale it looks like its gonna be an expensive night out for him!

He pissed all over your loo room, smashed up other rooms and knocked a table full of food/booze over then left? All because he was drunk?!

Fork me some people are absolute tools when drunk! Hope you get stuff sorted out!

I learnt to never host after a NYE at home with school mates, carpets covered in mud, rubbish everywhere etc, then they barely talked to me 2 weeks later. Never again!

Like yosh said its not something that you expect from adults, maybe kids but not someone who's almost 30. Its just a good job he's been good about it and is going to pay up else I wouldn't have been happy

besides it means i'll be getting some new gear, which is always nice Wink

I tell you what though, good job he wasn't here when i first found the damage, I only brought the bindings a few days ago and was pacing around the house in a rather aggressive manner, I would have chinned him if he were here haha!

Speak to burton about the heelcups as the bases have a lifetime warrantee so if you can say that the heelcup broke while riding, and see what they say the worst case is a no. Then it will only cost about £10 for a new set of buckles.

In moments like these its best to remember revenge is a dish best served both cold and in such a way that the person knows it was you but can't ever prove it was you Wink..

Alternatively accept his apology and move on people are stupid when drunk. Personally if your spewing and making a mess everywhere you should have stopped drinking a long time ago. Drinking is about being being slightly tipsy but still in control and not likely to vomit for me..
