Hey Guys,
Damo here, wanting to find out if anyone knows of any top notch, pure gold places to look for getting to any of these for some snowboarding? Anyone had experience of any and what do you recommend?
I will be looking at going end of 2012, beginning of 2013 and don't want to be spending more than £600 really. Just fancy doing something different rather than going to Bulgaria, France etc.
Any useful transport links, accommodation etc would be most appreciated by myself if you could help me out.
Cheers & A Happy New Year to all SCUK members, non-members and post threadders

For a start budget destinations they aint, youre likely to spend 600 quid just on food and drink in a week! In Norway you're talking 10 quid a beer and iceland is possibly the most expensive country in the world. Having said that its bloody beautiful.

We stopped in Norway , Ruka 2 years ago in the maston Aito cabins which were situated in a forest.
Top class accommodation with our own sauna log fire. Drying room etc.
But very limited pistes. Only a few decent runs. And lots and lots of drags and only a few main chair lifts. Norway is relatively flat and this resort is based around just one hilll really.
I think crystal have brought this resort back this year and prices should come in under 600
But you'll prob need same again if you like drinking as it was between 9 and 10 quid a drink and it was only a 400ml glass.

Hey Damo,
We're going to be in Hemsedal, Norway this year for the first stop on our adventure series and it really is an amazing place worth every penny. As everyone has pointed out, get yourself a bottle in duty free if you like a drink
If choosing to book it all yourself then you might find some helpful bits in the travel FAQ we put together for our campers. You'll be able to download at the bottom of the page here http://www.onyxsnowboarding.com/Onyx_Sn ... Camps.html
Hope you have a good trip,
Baden
