Just had my first session this season Very Happy

Bit of a mixed bag really...

Fitted the spare wheels with the snowtires on the Saturday. Woke up at 5am on Tuesday morning, picked up a mate and drove up to the closest resort (Parnassos).

Roads up the mountain hadn't been cleared:

Now for the bad part, forecast had been for some cloud clearing from lunchtime and light winds. Arrived in thick clouds and a force 5. The woman at the till kindly informed us that one lift was open only and they weren't sure if others would open... and for the privilege of boarding in these great conditons we had to pay weekend prices midweek (30 euro!!) Take it or leave it. Mad
Obviously after driving 2 and a hlaf hours we paid up. Evil or Very Mad
Spent till 3pm doing slow runs in 2m visibility but then....

With one hour left till closing time, the cloud finally started clearing...

Took the highest lift up (lifts had gradually opened during the day) and managed to score some nice powder:

It was bloody cold though without the sun (about -7 with the windchill on top of that) and I did look the proper tool with all the gear on Very Happy

Turned out great but took a few nice scrapes to the base cos there wasn't a proper base to the snow offpiste.
