Last year i went to Switzerland boarding (I hadn't been on a board for 6-7 years) and after 5 mins I was riding fine again. But I kept getting an almost unbearable pain on the outside edge of my leading foot. I've been to MK a couple of times the past month and I got a slight feeling of the pain again. Although it disappears completly yesterday when I was using my new board and bindings.
Just wondering if there is something I'm doing wrong or any exersises I can do to stop this from happening when I go to Austria for a week in mid jan?
Only other note is I'm using some 32 prions (that are about 7 years old) but not had much use.
Any help much appreciated.

Strange similarity to something I was/am experiencing.
2010 32 Prions and cramp like pain on my leading foot, mainly when on a poma indoors. I have had them replaced with 2011 Prions (due to a fault on stitching) and tried them yesterday for first time - no pain.
From my searching I found the 3 main things were different footbeds (Superfeet Red hot suggestion came up a lot), make sure your not curling your toes and weak foot arch. |

You say pain went away with new set up......what are the binding angles? could have something to do with it.
I ride duck -15 +15 - this seems way more comfortable than my old stance +0 +15 which sometimes used to give me pain in my leading foot.
Have a mess around and see, its worth the effort |

More likely to be angles , pressure on outer edge of foot causing pain ...move it out 3 deg at once then another
I have 3 diff angle set ups for diff boards ...but same boot
21 been worst |

My toes naturally curl.
Never messed about with set up.
Just had it set up at the shop and never touched it. seem to think my last board and rental board i used last year where froont foot angled and rear foot 0deg
new board is set with both feet at the same angle (so duck i guess!?)
Got a slight twinge on my foot yesterday at MK but certinatly nothing like i did when i used my old bingings the other week.
Cheers for the advice guys

Ive always had +15 on leading foot, my pain mainly comes on lifts so back foot not important. Would you recommend trying +18?
Callum, does your pain happen when boarding or on the drags? |

At domes it hapens on the lifts. But on the mountain it was hapening while boarding. I thought it may be because i hadnt boarded in so long. but after subtle set up changes its getting better.
1st time i went in a dome this year i was using my old Salomon s2 bindings. i then switched and tried out some flux rk30s which made it better, then the otherday i plunged in my pocket and bought some union forces to go with my new board and it almost disapeared but felt a slight twinge on my first lift. but it didnt come back after that.
Just want to prepare myself so i can make the most of my hol to Austria in mid Jan.
Gonna go down to TSA MK today with my gear and they said they will look at my stance and gear and set up and make some custom footbeds if i need them or help me make adjustments.
As mentioned before ive never played around with snowboard set up before so dont know how it will effect my riding etc.

TSA didn't seem to think i needed to make any changes or need any footbeds..... Thought they'd try and sell me something! Did a 2hour session and my foot is killing me now. think the pain is coming from the lift.
So i decided to learn to ride switch. which started off badly but can now do it. So one good thing has come from this pain... but i still want it gone!
