Same here I don't mind helping out. Did the 24 in 09 and 10 miss it so much after us not doing it last year.

Well the car was released at the show and had a great reception. let me know if you saw it at the show.
Back on topic though, just got back last night from my hol and after i umed and ahhed about taking my old boots as well i decided just to take the new boots.... what a great investment. so comfy and suporting, easy to put on and take of and super comfy on all conditions (including Apres )
Changed my binding angle to 15 on the front and kept 12 on the back just as it seemed that it was a good set up.
Got a slight twinge in the front of my foot after going up quite a long tbar but it had gone after the run. Im sure my techneique is wrong as im sure i have too much weight towards the back, but it didnt cause any problems. i was riding with a couple of more expereinced boarders all week and one said that i seem to be riding fine and if what im doing works then not to worry.
I think my techneique helped for a couple of days after injuring my knee (toboganing of all things). could bareley walk but could still board
Anyway exellent weeks riding.
Moral of the story new boots where a great investment.

| I was suffering from this after changing from a size 9 burton moto to a size 8 ThirtyTwo lashed. I had Forum Republic bindings that were a shade too big for the boots, therefore my leading foot was overworking and aching like fook. Tried a pair of smaller bindings and prey hesto... no pain. |

A few years a go I used to find that drag lifts killed my leading foot. Solution for me was to loosen bindings as much as possible on lifts and ride with my trailing foot in the footings of the rear bindings rather than next to them.
Now no foot pain at all. |

I'll try this next time I'm on a drag lift and see if it helps.
If so then all my problems are solved

I get the same thing. I'm waring 32 Prions and just ride at Cas.
Some days it's better than others which made me wonder if it was my socks. I had read to try riding without socks, but that made it worse.
It did hightlight the fact that the boots feel very flat though with no real support for my feet. Was going to try some insoles next. What do you guys think?
I hope it's not the boots, but while searching for any other people who might have posted about this I saw a few were riding 32's. |

Just got home from Hemel today. My ankle hurts like hell! I tried loosening my bindings, still had the pain. It went away in the last hour of boarding, but it's annoying and painful! |

| tried waring 2 pairs of socks and it made it far worse. I was wondering if it was just the tow lift slowing circulation down the leading leg causing the foot to swell slightly. Makes sense to me. |

As you mentioned it's a new board, I'd suggest:
Binding angles are set incorrectly : Try increasing the angle by a few degrees (play with both the front and back for find the ideal setup)
The toe straps are too tight or not adjusted so the padded stap sits centrally over the boot. |

| Make sure the lower zone of your bindings isn't too tight. n fact, try them a little loose... |

mate i think i get the same issue, out side of the leading foot and it's worst if either on the drag lift or if i'm on the moutain excessivly carving on my toe edge.
i have seen a specialist about a different fot injury and they said it could be the way my boots are tightened up causing compression on the nerve. do you get pain up the leg at the top of the fibula as well ? see image..
http://www.myfootshop.com/images/anatom ... _nerve.jpg
might be an idea to use a pen to mark on the area and take a photo, i've been trying to solve mine for 6 months.. |

I do.. it feels like cramp up my shin.
I'm going to be having a play with setups and mates boards when I go down to Cas next.
I did wonder about trying some rental boots to see if they made much difference. |

Thanks to the guys at Ellis Brigham in Cas for sorting my board out.
Got me on this funny machine to work out my ideal stance and also adjusted my highbacks to hopefully help the problem.
It did make it more comfy for sure, and took some strain of my knees, but didn't totally cure it.
After talking to them it did make me think more about my technique though and I noticed that I was fairly stood up on my toe edge turns, I'd got in to a bad habbit of lifting with my heals and clenching my toes, rather than just bending my knees in to the turn.
Once I realised this and changed the last bit of pain went and I found I was able to ride with slightly looser bindings as well.
So it was probably more the technique than the setup, but they definitely both contributed. |
