Im trying to book a holl to alpe d'huez through crystal but it says there is a 200 Euro deposit to pay on top of the total amount. Does any one know why this is?

Cheers

It's for the accomodation mate, you get it back at the end of your holiday as long as the appartment (i guess?) is clean and not broken... Very Happy

I booked with crystal online, called them after and was told there is no 5% for SCUK members as I'd already got the 5% online booking discount. So there is no advantage to joining SCUK unless you don't have online booking facilities, in which case we wouldn't be here would we?

Yeah the discount thing is a bit annoying, paid the membership specifically for the discount too... how is it the likes of Crystal get away with being promoted on here but offer nothing to members?

Well I joined for other reasons and that discount has saved me hundreds on kit over the years so you won't hear me complain about scuk but yes, as it stands there's no real benefit to being in scuk for booking with Crystal.

When I was booking our January trip, I was told they wouldn't combine the 5% online and 5% SCUK.
