Resort is reasonable value for france but the exchange rate is never your friend rite now making it pretty pricey last time i was there - 10 quid a beer Eeeep !
Captain Sandwhich is down the alley that goes between the telecabine up from Huez and Avenue de Jeux, behind the open air pool as mentioned, they do great English brekkies there too - owned by an english dude.
The 'majority' of bars and stuff are located in the Jeux area, which is easily accesible by the bus network.
Avoid the sloped side restaurants they are a rip off and friggin terrible. 'Pomme de Pin' down on Jeux is some of the best regional food i have had in france - v expensive tho ! |

Which is the one where you can take either the stairs or the slide to the toilet ( great fun , sliding down the stairs and walking back up the slide )
Freeride has the toilet slide, not a 'English' bar quite french (despite the 'English' sounding name). Have a beer try the slide, move on to the real party bars! |

Wasn't there a rum bar or something? I'm thinking 'rhummery', although that might be a sex position I read about.....
The rum bar is in the Etalon. The place has two bars, one serving your normal booze and the other selling purly rum! Cracking place, again very French (fills up with all nationalities though) and is often banging. The owner is usually as pissed as the punters! |

| If you're doing a mini crawl, start at the Yeti, head up to Undergound, then Freeride, O'Sharkeys, the Rhumerie, Smithy's and the end up in the Caves or the other club beside Smithys. Its a bit of a hike up from the Yeti, but you feel like you've earned your beers. |

Can't argue with that (except I'd leave out Freeride after going once), good route!
Caves nightclub is the darker of the two (can't remeber the name of the other either!!), drum & bass, dubstep, etc but the other is two/three times as big so if a top DJ is turning up it'll be in there!
Edit...the other one's the Igloo! |

The memories are coming back - yep, it was severely packed when I was there... there was a BUSC bash on so it was rammed full of pissheads |
