First off I couldn't post this in the right section.
Anyway that over I have been likening the look of NS boards. Rode one last year for a very short period in Canada and rode with people using them. So question has anyone any reviews of either the Evo or SL. Have looked on line at the usual product review sites but thought I'd ask on here as you lot can be very opinionated !! |

| I have had them both recommended to me but not been able to ride either yet but considering just buying an SL and hoping for the best (never heard a bad word yet) plus S2AS have sold their season's allocation of EVO's already so they seem really hard to get hold of. |

according to your profile your location is MK - have you tried Bucksboarding, as listed here as a demo center.
At the end of the day, all reviews are opinionated 'cos ppl are... Plus, everyone is different and rides slightly differently, so what works for 1 person may not for the next. You really need to try them yourself (again if needed)...
The Evo is ideal for a dome, soft and lots of fun, but can be a little too soft at times on a mountain (really notice the choppy sh1t when it's starting to thaw) which is why I've got the SL too
Had an Evo for about 18 months and got a SL in Sep for this season to go alongside it. so, you could say I'm a fan (and opinionated). Previously had a Gnu Danny Kass (before the me-too C2 banana) which is pretty similar to a Skate Nana (just a bit stiffer and quicker) - personally way prefer the NS RC camber as I always found the banana design lacking pop compared to my other camber boards.
what are you after? Jib-stick then Evo (despite being listed as a park and not jib board) or something stiffer and directional then the SL... If you want freestyle all mountain then the Proto CT would be the one to look for. Personally would have probably gone for the Proto when I got the SL, but thought it was just too similar to the Evo to justify having both)
but... afaik all Protos have sold out long ago and Evos & SLs are pretty thin on the ground... |

I've just (this morning) bought the last 155 SL from Bucksboarding (at least the last listed on their website). Will be good to have something really good to open on xmas morning!
Won't be able to tell you how good it is/isn't until mid Jan when I'm back from Austria! |

There is a bit of a Never Summer fan club at goneboarding.co.uk - a few reviews and threads. |

| I have an F1 and the build quality is amazing. It can feel a bit numb at low speeds but once its going fast its a beast. I'd never pay full whack for one though as they're too much money but they are great boards by what seems like a company with a shred of integrity too. |

| I have this years EVO, I cannot comment on the SL or how the EVO was compared to previous years, all I can say is that is it a really nice board to ride. It does have a lot of flex from the word go which I was not used to but it rides parks beautifully, haven't tried piste/pow yet though |

I've got this years Evo (got it from Bucks boarding as it happens) and love it. Just back from 4 days in Switzerland, it was only my 2nd ever trip away but got on really well with it. Was only riding red runs and tried my first ever back country powder so probably not the best person to ask but yip coped well on piste, not great on the choppy stuff but the dampening on it really helped and the only time i tended to deck it was on the 2nd day when my legs were dead from 7 hours riding the day before. As for the pow i had a nightmare but that was nothing to do with the board just totally alien to me and i kept digging in.
Not sure if Bucks Boarding have any left but pop in and have a chat with Ollie (the geezer with the ridiculous mohawk), he's a top lad and will be more than willing to talk you through the pros and cons of each, tell him Ian said hiya
P.S
If you are an MK local and fancy trying the Evo let me know and you can have a play with mine. |

If you want something playful but will still rip it, I'd put my money on the Proto CT. If they'd made it when I bought mine, I'd have probably gone for it. I've a 10-11 SL and whilst I've barely stepped foot in a park, just trying to butter and dick about on side hits made me think I'd have preferred something a little more playful.
Don't go much if any shorter than you normally would because of RC tech imo, I went one size down and wish I never had!
That's my 1p |

I got the proto ct in sept. Only managed two days at Hemel but loving it so far. Its lighter than my old board so im finding tricks bit easier and its pretty responsive making edge to edge a whole lot quicker. Loving the carboninum top sheet to !
Got a week away in Les Gets/Morz coming up where I'll give it a real test. |
