hey guys, would just like to let ya know coe aint doin an SCUK discount this year... gutted. that was a good selling point of membership in my opinion!

went up thursday for my first day of coe madness and my happy, bubbly morning attitude was quickly extinguished by a big unhappy fatty on the ticket counter.

asked for a pass and flashed the card asking 'i get discount with this, dont i (big smile)' to which i was told 'no we dont do that any more' by a big woman at the counter.

tryed asking why not sevral times in nice ways but was given a real nasty look and told 'we just arent'

gutted, first nasty experiance with staff on a mountain, usually theyre so chilled. bit!h Evil or Very Mad

edit: typo

as it says on the discounts page...

SCUK partnerships and discounts are defined by formal agreements and are offered in good faith by us. However, Snowboard Club UK cannot be held responsible if offers are withdrawn or modified by our partners. Do please let us know if that happens by contacting info@snowboardclub.co.uk, so we can consider resolving issues or removing SCUK Partners.

Understand scuk,s position with discounts, and Glencoe has to make money, but I think its a bit of a snide way off withdrawing their offer because the conditions have been great this week, maybe they will change their tune if they are struggling later on in the season,

That's what I got told Thursday as well.

Also said that they don't do half day morning passes, even though it's on their website that they do!

Still had a magic day though Smile

sorry if that was taken the wrong way.

this was no way a dig at SCUK, the memberships worth it without the discount.
plus the sites awesome so its good to help the cause, know
Wink

the unhappy fatty comment was just because she was so short with me, really weird attitude wit me, one word awnsers and just blank silent stares Confused musta been her time Laughing
didnt tell me that about the weekends.

would be good if some1 going at the weekend could try it out and let us know if it is just a weekend thing or its just cancelled Smile

Chill man, If you noticed glencoe introduced a midweek £20 pass and the prices were frozen from last season, Coe is the cheapest out of all the resorts what more do you want? just go ride who cares about customer service man wtf if you want glitz and glam go to st moritz or aspen but i guarantee your bank account will never be the same again.

There's no excuse for poor Customer service just because it's glencoe. Woman in the booth at Glenshee is normally the happiest person at the hill

Possibly because she's been battling her way through 100mph winds and blizzards to get to work all week only to be told there is no electricity or phone lines and that she can stay to dig out paths or go home and not get paid!?!

Everyone has a bad day...and fat chicks rock!!!

Sounds like they've changed their pricing structure, so we'll chase them up and see what's what for SCUKers.

As Ace says though, always worth emailing info@ so we can chase these things.

Still worth 25 notes as it's 40 for other scottish resorts. Okay it might not have as many runs but it's still well worth my money and she did say to one of the guys I was with that the discount was only applicable at the weekends.

I was next in line and it went something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=8QfSzgV1q5g

Was up and Coe on Saturday and everybody from the ticket office to the lifts and cafe was great.

As other poster said it was a hell of a week for the crew there and they pulled off miracles t repair the damage and get the place able to open at all. A bit of leeway might be in order.

Re the discount not sure what it was but if they need the extra £5 to keep the place viable and repair the damage which woul dyou ratehr have ?

manicpb havin been more than with a few fat chicks i have came to the unfortunate opinion they do not rock aha
i realize the OP was a bit harsh. but to be fair no1 was there n didnt see how see acted.
anyway...
it was only ment to be a bita info lettin fowk know the discount wasnt goin.
it could be 40 a session and i'd still go once or twice a week for the season. price aint an issue for boardn.
the included story was just how i came by the info lol
as for the 'unhappy fatty' i had a chat n hot choc with her tday and she was brand new. every1 has bad moments i know.
