Im close to finding a gun and shooting myself in the face.
Ive spent a couple of hours hiking up and riding down a few times, but the effort put in compared to the grin on my face just doesnt seem worth bothering - Its not steep enough near the village to get any real speed, and we're on some 'high avalanche risk' level so hiking up to where its decent seems suicidal - especially seeing as its windy and -20 according to the website higher up.
I just hope they clear the rode to a nearby resort thats lower down (20 minute bus ride) so i can ride in the trees, but according to the info board all the lifts are shut there too.
I cant help but feel the guys in charge of the mountain are doing very little about anything - there are 4 snow-cats parked outside the hotel that have driven about a bit and nearly run people over, but the drivers have buggered off for a drink and/or sleep, leaving everyone to sit around. I hate this siesta culture, bunch of lazy bastards. If they cant keep ONE run open in a ski resort, then what the hell are they in the job for?
Give me a bit of paper to sign that says 'i wont blame you if i die' and open the fecking lifts, its not windy and its not even snowing anymore!
no point in opening the lifts if the slopes arent safe and you cant see anything. it has only just stopped snowing, stuff will be open tomorrow, all about val d tomorrow though, thats where the trees are, not much further down towards les brevs!

Pretty sure josh is stuck in Italy. The moaning on his Facebook would suggest anyway. The internet isnt a place for helpfulness. It's for porn and pointless questions about snowboarding equipment and what to take on holiday

are you mad? if its not safe for you to ride why is it safe for a guy in a cat to go up. i dont know if you've much experiance of driving a cat but its really not that much fun when vis is bad, plus if theres alot of snow regular cats will only go up after winch cats have been out. i know iv been caught in a strom and ended up driving a bit, putting a shovle with flagging tape as far as the light goes, driving, then getting out and doing the same over and over again. just hold tight, good things will happen
