Being snowing practically non-stop since we got here, 2ft has fallen in little over a day which has caused all the lifts to close whilst emergency snow-clearing is going on.

Stuck in the hotel, watching snow fall outside and waiting for them to open at least one run.

Never been so glad i have Point Break on my laptop Very Happy

I'd say find the nearest slope and indulge in a bit of mini shred Very Happy

Yeah, there are a couple of locals hiking up the nearest slope and starting work on a jump - i may go and join them later!

Hopefully the short blue run just by the village will get opened up - snowcats are on it at the moment Very Happy

I remember having that once in Andorra. Pas de la Casa is a depressing place to be in when there's no slopes open! Some cars got totally trashed, cos the snow ploughs were tyrying to clear roads but couldn't see any cars there was so much snow!

Yeah, i know the feeling! haha

I wouldnt be surprised if stuff got trashed here, there are two massive Cat digger things driving about clearing snow and literally chasing people down foot paths as they have no where else to go! haha

Thats insane!

It still snowing here, and the visibility has got so poor that no one is outside at all - and its only 3pm!

Went out and hiked a coupled of runs today, and had a play on some of the little jumps that had been made, but it really wasnt that fun to be honest - Looking forward to getting out tomorrow regardless of the weather, perhaps going to a lower resort in the area to play in the trees Smile

Im close to finding a gun and shooting myself in the face.

Ive spent a couple of hours hiking up and riding down a few times, but the effort put in compared to the grin on my face just doesnt seem worth bothering - Its not steep enough near the village to get any real speed, and we're on some 'high avalanche risk' level so hiking up to where its decent seems suicidal - especially seeing as its windy and -20 according to the website higher up.

I just hope they clear the rode to a nearby resort thats lower down (20 minute bus ride) so i can ride in the trees, but according to the info board all the lifts are shut there too.

I cant help but feel the guys in charge of the mountain are doing very little about anything - there are 4 snow-cats parked outside the hotel that have driven about a bit and nearly run people over, but the drivers have buggered off for a drink and/or sleep, leaving everyone to sit around. I hate this siesta culture, bunch of lazy bastards. If they cant keep ONE run open in a ski resort, then what the hell are they in the job for?

Give me a bit of paper to sign that says 'i wont blame you if i die' and open the fecking lifts, its not windy and its not even snowing anymore!
