Hey guys,
I was about to buy the Dragon APX goggles when I suddenly realised that my glasses need to fit in them too! I know you can get some manufacturers like Adidas that do goggles to prescription which is awesome, but not perhaps the type of goggle I want.
I've been looking at Salomon X Pro 10's and the Oakley Airbrakes....
Anyone have these and know if they work with glasses? I'd go someplace to try them out, but I'm in West Wales until after christmas and there are no snow retailers around these parts (to my knowledge).
Cheers! |

| Depends how far West you are. The dry slope at Pembrey has a fairly well stocked ski shop, but with absolutely NO snowboard gear! Odd. |

| Yeah Nucelus in Swansea has some Dragon's which is where I realised that a fit for glasses was going to be crucial! |

hey mate,
i've ridden away with OTG goggles for two seasons now as my eyesight is getting worse.
I settled on Bolle Quasar OTG in the end, they had a good fit over my glasses, don't look like OTG, and considering they are bolle the styling is pretty good. They also have a fairly mirrored lense, so unless you look close you can't tell they are OTG.
I have quiksilver glasses which are fairly wide, and although the goggles fit over, they pull my glasses off with them when I de-goggle.
But they hardly ever fog up, so its a decent compromise. |

Are they the Oakley Proven or the L Frame? Or do they do other OTG's |

| I think mine are the L frame, theyre quite old, I got them from a moto cross shop then upgraded the lens as it was cheaper that way. they have alot of distance between my glasses and the goggle lens inside and also those gaps at the side for the arms. |

I asked about this a few years ago and in the end went for some cheapo Scott OTG which work well. In all honesty tho, i try to wear my contacts as much as I can when boarding tho (and can then wear normal sunglasses and funkier goggles).
the downside to glasses (or even those expensive inserts some makes offer) are not just an additional layer to get fogged up, but depending on the light-conditions (mainly when it's dark) you can get halos/blobs floating about as lights get reflected between the goggles's lens and the glasses.
you're going to have to goto a shop and try them on with your glasses and/or go for OTG (over the glasses) goggles.
tbh, always worth trying them on before buying anyway as they're all different along with everyone's heads |

Thanks guys, some really good advice given.
I'm hoping I can get back to London before I go to Val D'Isere on the 12th of Jan. While we're all here, any recommendations on a London based shop with a good, wide selection of goggles and helmets? |
