Hi guys, I'm new here so please be gentle.
I'm relatively new to snowboarding and have only been doing it a year now, going regularly to MK but as of yet haven't been abroad.
I'm off to Bulgaria in the new year with my girlfriend and while she is fully kitted out I as of yet haven't brought a set of goggles as unlike everything else like clothes, boots and board I've not needed them.
So anyway I'm looking for some advice on what goggles to buy as I really don't know anything about them. Ive got a budget of around 50 quid which I'd rather not go much over. Ideally I wanted to try on some different ones and see which I preferred but I thought I'd ask for input as the only place I'm going to have to check them out is in MK
I saw these
http://www.bargainboards.co.uk/P/Oakley ... 06%29.aspx
and also these
http://www.bargainboards.co.uk/P/Dragon ... 40%29.aspx
I liked the look of the dragon ones and they were a brand I'd heard of along with obviously Oakley
Any help would be muchos appreciated |

Go with the Dragon DX
I've had a pair of the DXS (a dx but smaller) for 4 years and only this season have I upgraded to the Electric EG2 which cost literally 3 times the price, still love my DXS though, they are brilliant for the money and replacement lenses aren't too expensive |

| Either are good makes but be aware that depending on conditions you might need to get a second lens so you can see easier. A different coloured lens is needed for bright conditions than for lowlight and snowy days. Both those two have mid range all weather lenses but at some point you'l need a darker one for sunny days and a yellow one for when its snowing. Spare lenses for Oakleys are really expensive, much more than any other brand. Dragon lenses are much cheaper. |

Cheers guys.
The only Hoven ones i can find are these.
http://www.snowboardclub.co.uk/shop-har ... -5104.html
The Dragon ones seem quite common which means i'll probably be able to find a pair to try on before i buy and like you said the lenses are readily available, both of which I like.
How does it work regarding the different lenses, do they really make that much difference |

Haha i guess you just asked my previous question, thanks.
So do the goggles steam and fog up much, I know i once wore my glasses when boarding as i forgot to put my contacts in and they steamed up like a bitch! |

| von zippers from the board basement, under 50 quid a pair and often come with a spare lens in the pack too so you get all angles covered. |

Not really, decent goggles have enough ventilation to cope.
I like Dragons, easy to get hold of the second lenses too. Defo need a yellow/orange lense for foggy days as well as a reflective lense. My Dragons came with two lenses anyway so didnt have to pay any extra.
This site is great..

They also have loads of Oakleys but I personally don't like them. They are usually twice the price with half the style. |

That's why I didn't get them myself. I went for some Bolle Novas. Don't need the spare lens as I've got a pair of Scotts with the Light Amplifier lenses, better than yellow in low light IMHO. |
