| i am selling a board for £200, Burton sweet talker 157 , Check it out, It's got a lil cosmetic damage on the base because i scarred it on a dry slope and had to replace a small corner with pre fab but if you can see past that small cosmetic problem it is a great board and very easy to use and fun, It cost £420 new and is a rare ltd ed board. |

| I bought mine before I started, saves wasting money on rentals and means your on the same board everytime. Wouldn't spend a fortune though. |

I went for my first boarding holiday to Lake Louise 4 years ago. I had rentals paid for the first 3 days along with my 'learn to board' classes. Once the 3 days were up me and the missus went to Banff the next day and bought our own boards, bindings and helmets. We'd already bought boots before going as we didn't want to have to put up with uncomfy rental boots for 10 days. No point in paying rental fees when we could get our own kit and use it for years.
This year I decided to get a new board as I had some cash burning a hole in my pocket - but to be honest my old board is still in fantastic condition apart from a few chips on the tail topsheet (caused by skiers skiing over it in lift queues!).
Shameless plug - but its a Rome Agent 160 from 2008 with a set of Large Burton Andy Worhol bindings. Sitting in my cupboard doing nothing, so I'd easily part with it for around £200! |

| It's nice to have your own kit, but if you get a sh1te rental board take it back to the desk and ask for another, they won't grudge you for it. |

Yep pretty much same as me. All though i did it last year.
Bought an ex-rental board as it worked out cheaper than rental fees. Used that for 4days.. got on ok with it. Then went into shop in Banff and saw the K2 Raygun board which i was looking at purchasing before the trip. Chatted to shop assistant (hot aussie gal) and managed to get the board reduced and also get K2 Formula bindings included into a package deal.
Back on the slopes the next day was so much better and i have progressed a lot more. Going back out to Banff next wednesday.
I have now bought all my own gear. So boots and Lid and yet more clothing lol.
