Ok so normally i'm the first to moan on about putting up Christmas lights in August, and people playing seasonal songs in shopping malls waaaaaay too early but I think we can all agree now that we are on the countdown to the what the yanks imaginatively call 'the holidays'..

Anywho... just wondered what everyone is up to this year, what are you excited about? What Santa got for you in his, er sack? Anyone seeing old family?

I for one have got one more week in work and then i'll be hitting the brandy faster than you can say 'dad's drunk again'.

COME ON LETS GET THIS MOTHER STARTED!!!!!

1 week left at work ( maybe less if i can get in the flexi time) back to work on the 3rd jan then off boarding on the 7th Jan.

Basically just getting money..... for more boarding hols and I really want some Smith I/os or electric Eg2.5 goggles.

It all about the internet shopping this year, cant be bothered with the rammed shops. Although a trip to the german market for various food delights was a must !!!

Work until the the 22nd (which is my last day at current job!), Straight down to Windsor to see all my old Bridgestone workmates for dinner and drinks, wake up in some hotel, back to Oxford for a curry and beers with all my mates (only time we're all together due to moving away or lack of spare time) then the usual Christmas eve beers in the pub!

Christmas itself is the usual affair of over indulgence followed by a lazy boxing day. Brother's away in Afghanistan this Christmas so it'll be even more subdued this year!

I hate the build up to Xmas but now it's December I like it. I can't wait to self harm by eating too much. When you have eaten soo much it physically hurts! That's Christmas!

I'm normally a right scrooge by this point, but this year I'm a little more welcoming to the thought. Mainly driven by the fact that I can't wait to get off work. I've not had a day off since August and it's starting to bite.

I'll mostly be back at the folks' in Poole eating, drinking and merrymaking. Got a couple of trips up to London planned for birthdays and NYE too.

Basically ANYTHING but thinking/talking about work.

My mum is half German, which means when she is not invading Poland..she is working on the next world-beating trifle-based superweapon. I have never had better.

Not really a fan of Christmas, so I try to go away for it, either to snowboard or visit friends and this year I'm meant to be visit one of my bestmates who lives in Germany... when I say meant to, the flights book but if this ankle doesn't start improving then I might have to cancel it.. (I REALLY hope I don't have to cancel it)

+1 for trifle, with raspberris in but no ladyfingers in the jelly as they go mooshy and gross, eat them while you make the trifle instead.

I want goggles for chriscross but dunno if I will get them as EG2's and APX's or hawkeyes all look too expensive for anyone to buy me. My birthday is 2 days before and all I want for that is to pass my driving test which is on the 22nd, the shortest day so even if weather is good driving in the dark will not be so good :/
