Hey, I've been having trouble recently with playing back footage from my Drift Stealth. Just wondering if anyone has one and had these problems.
When I connect it to my TV I can access the menu options through the TV and view the thumbnails of the videos on the camera. However when I try to play it the screen goes black and the camera seems to freeze. I can watch the videos back fine on the cameras screen tho.
The footage wont play properly on my laptop either and keeps jumping but it used to work fine. I also used to put the file onto a USB and watch the video on my PS3 but now the PS3 doesnt seem to acknowlege the file being there.
I dont know if Ive changed the settings accidentally or something but if anyone has experienced this before or has any idea what the problem might be then Id really appreciate some advice. Thanks. |

Sounds like the data is corrupt - could be a memory card issue (does it even use memory cards? haha)
Ive had similar problems with cheap SD cards ive bought online being used in our old sony camera |

what class is the SD Card your using? for HD recording you shouldn't be using anything lower than a class 4
https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/speed/
**EDIT**
Class - Write Speed
2 - 2 MB/s
4 - 4 MB/s
6 - 6 MB/s
10 - 10 MB/s
and a nice little app that tests the Read/Write speed of the card H2testw |

Its a class 10 card so it should work pretty well
I dont really understand technical stuff all that well so if the card is corrupt does that mean its f**cked or can I uncorrupt it
But if it's corrupt then why can I watch back the footage on the camera? |

couple of things to try;
1) make another video and see if that has the same issue
2) Try running it through another player (i recommend VLC*, also install the K-Lite* codec pack)
3) it could just be a corrupt file, which in that case try Format Factory* and re-format the file as a .mov
*I've never had any issues with these but run a virus/spyware scan just to be safe |
