i've done a seach but can't find a comprehensive list of what i need to take on my trip (to Morzine on 27th dec) it's my first time boarding so no doubt i'll miss out a key item unless i have a list.
could do with a sticky if there is one. |

Jacket(s)
Pants
Socks
Gloves
Hats
Goggles/Sunglasses
Jumpers
Underlayers (thermals, base layers etc etc)
Underwear
Money
Thats your basic list, and other optional things are:
Wax/Board tools
Board Lock
Camera
Helmet
Protection (spine/crash pants)
Sun block (although i never bother)
Facemasks
Mini-Chocolate bars for chairlift snacks
Take a look at the FS/Abroad section for mentions of other things, but i cant think of much more... |

| Gaffer tape & cable ties. The cable ties were suggested by someone on another thread recently. Took some last week. Mate lost a binding strap fixing on the slopes. Out came the cable ties, disaster averted! |

It's for those times when it's just you and someone else trapped in a lonely gondola during a snowstorm... |

At what point does one consider a limit to possible occurrences on the slopes before being a mobile retail park with a B & Q?
I'm sure by saying this that I've jinxed myself and am sure to get some sort of failure on the slopes this season that requires some macgyver-esque method of sorting it out. |

Chap Stick / Lip Salve type thing. I got a cool Lip Salve / Sun Lotion stick earlier this year in Austria. One end is a lip thing, and the other end is factor 50 for your face. Genius!
iPod and headphones are worth taking. I second the tie wrap thing too...
On my first boarding trip the zip on my Westbeach jacket snapped with the cold. It was stuck in the UP position. As the zip has a 'lock' that it won't come down unless you pull it - it was stuck! I had a mini tie wrap which I put through the zip to be able to use it. The next day I bought a cheap key ring and put it on the zip!! |

Devil horn hat, matching the rest of your group so you don't get lost.
A huge bank loan as at 5-7 euros a beer you'll need one
Condoms, if you get lucky in resort she will be riddled |
