Deleted my previous post as although humorous, was rather inappropriate haha

Unsure if we'll get snow in the south for a while - I'm in Bournemouth and the weather doesn't forecast much coldness in a while

Is uncommon (but not unheard of) for snow on the coast, we'll have to wait and see aye!

There were some good videos from Brighton last year of the snow, the only one that unfortunately sticks in the mind is one of a naked man running down a steep road in the middle of the night...

For those going to the Alps, the anxious wait should come to an end soon.
I am sure you've been webcam watching like me but that's no good at night.

The first band of precipitation has reached the French Alps.
The rainfall radar is helpful
http://www.meteox.co.uk/h.aspx?r=&j ... t=loop1uur
Click on the map where you want to zoom
eg For the French Alps
http://www.meteox.co.uk/gmapstatic.aspx ... &y=407

Local stations (low level) with recent observations
http://www.meteociel.fr/observations-me ... s-reel.php

and the observations for Annecy close to La Clusaz and Morzine (light rain now)
http://www.wunderground.com/q/zmw:00000.16.07491

Hopefully snow at high levels. The northern French Alps ski stations may do better tonight than the other french ones.

Cheers for the links Dewei, looks promising!

Might be worth buying a low light lens if that keeps up after the 16th Dec

Up early this morning for the 7am bike ride.

WEBCAMS FOR LES ARCS AND LA CLUSAZ SHOW FRESH SNOW FROM MID-LEVELS!

Forecast suggests 10 days or so of intermittent snow!
