Isnt the S3 out in the new year?
I have an iPhone 4s, wish I'd got the S2 (or S3 if I could wait that long) |

S3 prolly q2 2012. S2 is great though, should do everything you need, love mine and android4 coming out for it soonish.
HTC Edge specs are pretty amazing though if you can wait a few months, although nothing wrong with iphone either tbh. Not much seperating the top end smart phones these days so it really depends on the apps available for them now. |

I upgraded from Iphone to galaxy s2
The music quality is not as good as the iphone and there isnt a lot of quiality apps at the moment for android compared to the appstore on apple. but for a much better phone and system the S2 is soooo much better! |

| I've noticed a big leap in app quality on the android store lately, especially games. |

Im amazed that people are going for anything over an iPhone when talking about money-no-object top-of-the-range smartphones!
I had an HTC Hero and it was the best phone i had up to that point, but compared to the iPhone i currently have, the HTC was awful.
Yes, if other smartphones upgrade their operating system/screens/cameras/processors/ram/etcetc then they could be competition, but surely for build quality, and elegance of design, the iPhone wins hands down?
Unless they've improved 10 fold in recent months, id say that build quality/material use in samsungs/nokias/blackberrys/other competitors leaves a LOT to be desired.
Plus you've got iCloud on the current OS now, so if you have any other apple products then updates will be seemless, something that other companies/windows struggles with - HTC Sync was a bloody nightmare.
Thats my 2 cents anyway.
iPhone. |

Its like comparing a Ford Mondeo with an Audi A4, they both do a job, but one does it that bit better and with much more class, it makes you think you are cool and everyone thinks you are a w#nker, but they are just jealous, oh, and when its time to upgrade again has some sell on value, so Buy the Audi................
(thats the iphone by the way, but you'd already guessed that) |

you have started that old argument. everyone votes for.what they have to justify it. personally i don't like the iphone due to its TINY screen, thickness and weight. as i have my phone in my pocket all the time i hate having bulky objects on me so thas why it suits me. having looked into the workings of it and the iphone for me there wasn't much in it, both have nice screen quality, i preferred the Samsung camera but as stated the app store is better for iphone.
but saying that comparing them is like a mondeo or an a4 then look at which car won top gear car.of the year how many times? wasn't the German one. that's not a fair comparison as they are too similar. more like an audi and a bmw |

Someone thinking a phone gives them more class is the exact reason everyone else would think they are a w@nker.
Iphone is great but several phones rival it now one of which is the S2. Its worth testing both as some prefer ios over android and vice versa. The apps available are the only main difference today. |

Probably not, more mega pixels doesn't mean better unless you have a larger, higher quality sensor otherwise they just have to pack more in. This means bigger images but more noise and other undesirable efects. I reckon 8 MP is about right on the tiny sensor you get in most phones.
Makes me laugh when people think that the iphone is a prestige product still. I mean, who doesn't have an iphone these days? They're pretty ubiquitous. That's not an argument against them, they're excellent phones but people shouldn't have illusions of elitism. Apple are very good at making people think that way.
If you're going Android then get one with 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, it's head and shoulders above previous iterations of the OS. |
