READ THIS! A couple of weeks ago we published an online article relating to 'International Ambulances' and their new medical service for Morzine and Les Gets this winter. If you read that article, please read this one!
Over the last couple of days Yodel has been working with one very astute local resident - we've been investigating the legitimacy of International Ambulances and its front man Daniel Simpson. Between us we've spoken to the Foreign Office, the British Consulate in Lyon, the local Morzine Avoriaz authorities, the NHS in the UK and the French medical board. We've also spoken to English Doctors working within the French medical system as GP's in other ski resorts.
We took our findings and our unanswered questions to Daniel Simpson yesterday afternoon. We challenged him on the nature of his business and the services he was claiming to provide, his personal registrations as a medic and the legitimacy of his work here in Morzine and Les Gets. We also questioned his personal conduct and behaviour while driving his ambulance, wearing his medical uniform.
We were unable to satisfy our own curiosities and because of the nature of Daniel Simpson's work, we believe the responsible thing for us to do is share our concerns with you. Yodel can't confirm whether the work of International Ambulances is bonne-fide or not - the legal situation is very complicated but it is our understanding that Daniel Simpson left Morzine late last night and today the International Ambulances website displays this message:
If you have saved the International Ambulances emergency number to your mobile phone, we suggest that you think carefully before using it.
Yodel will continue to work with the British Consulate to provide information on International Ambulances. If you have any information that you feel might be useful please do get in touch - info@yodelmagazine.com
For anyone that cant access it from iphone etc |

| I've had a read of that, but I think everyone is looking for the original Emergency Emergency article that looks like it was put up on 7th November, but I can't find it anywhere from my pc either. |

Wouldn't be suprised if they've been made to take it down for legal reasons. Kind of odd to be hanging drawing and quartering a man when the article itself adimits they have no proof and cant themselves work out of he is legitimate. If they have no proof he isn't legitimate that what business have they got for writing an article suggesting it?
They say they questioned him but weren't satisfied with any of his answers, well how about actually publishing those answers and leaving it up to the reader to decided? |

well, they have replied to me saying they have removed the original article on the grounds of public safety.....what ever that means.
There's obviously something going on in morzine to prompt the two articles, but what that is, is anyones guess...... |
