I should probably get one. My foot slips a little at the dome on the way up if I'm not paying attention.

Don't care what others think about me having stomp pad as they will think a lot worse if I keep falling off on the poma and holding them up due to back foot slipping

Really helps me keep it together on the lift. Stud / spike ones way more effective.

they do work, depends on the conditions youre riding in. at the snowdome they probably arent necessary. on snow you will probably find different kinds of snow and some will stick to your boots more than others. youll also find chairs with ridiculously long run outs where you might even have to stick in a turn, or two, with your foot out of your binding. they do work.

Totally agree with above. I found this to my cost when dismounting from a chair last season in Rendl St Anton. I was faced with sheet ice & landed on my arse as had limited control of the board.

I have just bought a stomp pad for new board & will fx when I have found the correct position for bindings.
