Use the google search on the right on how to wax mate, it's ridiculously easy / piss cheap
Old iron (anything will do, if it can get hot, it's good enough) - Tesco value etc, all good.
Wax - About a tenner, often not even that
Base cleaner - eh, i've never really bothered more than a wet rag, but there's solutions out there, would be good seeing as you have a deck covered in glycol
Scraper - some waxes come with free scrapers, i've used everything from old rulers, thick clubcards and random bits of straight plexi plastic
Buffing pad - a brillo pad, found one under the sink |

I'll have a look into it.
While on the subject then, how often do you guys wax your board? Set number of days? Or when it starts to mark up on the bottom? Or dependent on feeling?
I guess this also differs from indoor > mountain. |

| If you only wax that often then I'm surprised your board actually takes up any wax when you do get around to doing it. If you want to go faster than mini then wax it when the base looks dry, i.e. significant white patches appear. |

Most of the instructors at chill i questioned when i started there dont bother waxing at all. not a lot of point in a dome for teaching.
different on a mountain though. |

was at Braehead on Sunday night with a mate who was learning, the snow was shocking, straight lined it down the slope the whole way and was hardly shifting at all! Knackered myself just getting to the Poma the snow was that sticky, I am unfit right enough
Heading tomorrow for freestyle so hopefully the coolant leaks been fixed and the snows in a better nick, as per usual. |
