Always been loads of you real snow snobs Wink saying what resorts you have been to.... how about a thread to show some dryslope love Wink

so where abouts in this fair land have you burnt the base of your board on permasnow?? broken a bone on dendix or slimed yourself on unkempt snowflex (other surfaces are available)....

Christchurch/Snowtrax.. I learnt to ride here in hard boots and asymetrical boards on dendix... need to go to check out the new surface.
sheffield.. pre and post snowflex
the mighty Halifax
Yeovil's Dendix of doom RIP
Warmwell (dendix, playgrass and snowflex)
JNL Bracknell
Hemel (pre fridge)
Plymouth
Aldershot
Catterick indoor dryslope... weird stuff can't remember what it was called but the place has burnt down anyway
Calshot (indoor snowflex...sick)
Southampton

I think that's it.... but I may be wrong Smile

I found one right by work today, polmont nr Falkirk. Doesn't run very often and is a small narrow slope but it looks like it would collect snow well in the winter.

I've never ridden dryslope other than on skis at rossendale yrs ago and on a sledge at llandudno. I'll start going once it's closer than a snowdome

Just the one in Aberdeen for me so far.
I noticed it was in last months Whitelines for having one of the most dangerous wall/box thing they've ever seen!!

Still struggling to lie on my back after a nasty fall last Tuesday. The bruises are starting to disappear. Hopefully I can get some back protection before next Tuesday!!

I learnt my stock and trade on the majestic trowse mountain, otherwise known as Norfolk Ski Club in Norwich.

I was at uni in Aberdeen, but unfortunately that was before the Aberdeen slope was renovated so I've never ridden there. I was gonna pop on there when visiting a friend, but you had to get signed off so I couldn't do it Sad

I did used to travel to Edinburgh to go to Hillend every know and again which was cool...

I guess it depends when you go. My mate went 3 weeks in a row having never strapped a board to his feet and just went straight on the main slope. I actually had to show him how to strap in the first time!

As long as its not too busy, they don't seem to mind anymore. Everyone takes turn about anyway - so its not like he's going to hit anyone!

I paid my dues at pontypool dryslope, learnt to ride there and sessioned that sketchy gaspipe rail regularly when i took the uni society there for about 3 years.

Awesome long slope, was cheap as hell, but the draglift was something of a nightmare for learners and experienced alike.

I liked it for being cheap and a good laugh with mates, but now i live so near a fridge i don't think i'd ride dendix again by choice.

Also ridden gloucester which was so-so, fairwater (cardiff) and avon (pure crap!!).

It's sh1t. If it's snowwing and you are in the area go to the golfcourse nearby, or travel 10 minutes to Cockelroy - no button tow but much better fun.

My friend learned at Polmont, I learned at Hillend which is pretty boss. Still not been to any Glasgow area dry slopes Sad

Some slope near pembrey
and the mountain lodge in snowdonia no idea what the last two are called

CWJ I was thinking of heading to glasgow ski and board center again in the next fortnight or so and get my kicker skills down before the airbag appears at Xscape if you wanna come it's sketchy as hell and covered in leaves and sh1t but I can live with it when its 7 quid for a day

Dryslope is my home. I spend far more hours a year there than I do on the real stuff.

Bromley - my home slope, where I learnt and now teach. Handy only a couple of minutes away in the car.

Also ridden over the years
Chatham
Bracknell
High Wycombe
Brentwood

When I was a kid my parents used to go to this hotel somewhere I can't remember that was attched to a golf course, but also had their own dryslope. My parents used to play golf, and leave me to ski, it was brilliant. There also used to be a tiny little slope at Crystal Palace park but you had to walk up it, and it had quite a few trees to hit as well. When I went there was no one running it, so to use it we had to take our own skis and boots.
