Hey guys,

Im off to Les Arcs on the 10th December for an early season get away and if it stays the way it is there is going to be no snow by then!

Just wondering if you guys have any tips on what to do? I presume the glacier will be open but other than that I doubt they'll be any runs....
I have only booked accommodation and ferry so I could drive somewhere else and just pay for new accommodation but is there anywhere better if the weather conditions stay as they are (glacier/man made piste wise I mean)?

You could always continue up the valley to the glacier at Tignes.

if you want a guarantee and a bit of peace of mind now, then head upto tignes. It can all change so quickly though.

Its difficult to remain calm and not worry, but it really is early at the moment, it just needs a couple of decent dumps the end of november early december and everything will change.

The ground is frozen solid, any snowfall now will hang around (unlike the last lot in october..)

The snow has arrived early the last few years and yet the season's been a bit rubbish. I'm banking on the snow coming late, but the season being a corker. Fingers crossed eh!?

Same story with Cervinia in italy - past few years have had between half a meter and 2 meters on the ground by the time we go, at the moment there is 6cm!

Can you imagine them trying build that in this country. The Health & Safety nazi's would shoot the idea down at the back of a fag packet stage.

OMG that is incredible. Not really interested in roller coasters etc, but I might just have to go there in the summer! Loving the safety fencing at the top of the run.

Think this is the place http://www.tyrol.tl/en/highlights/theme ... -imst.html

Note you have to be at least 3 years old to be allowed on...

That coaster is nuts. Surprised

As for the no snow, it will be alright. I am off to Courchevel on the 17th of December. They spend millions on fitting new snow cannons just for weather like this. I went in February last year and it had not snowed for over a month and it was too hot for them to put the cannons on. As long as it stays cold it will all be fine. Also it only needs a day or two of good snow and it will be lovely.

That roller coaster is super Rad and probably less likely to kill you than Downhill.

Resorts have record early openings here and up to a further 10ft of snowfall predicted for the PNW this week - dont hate, just sayin Wink
