Had a rare twenty minutes to myself so decided to ditch the rivets that hold the nose and tail clips.
Went for some trucks bolts instead and countersunk and epoxy'd them of course!
Much tighter now so the clips sit nicely and behave(like good clips) when in ski mode |

Bit of an overdue update....
Finally scraped some money together for some nice skins from CSD - Thanks Lauren!!
Got them ready for Magna-trimming
Installed the wires/hoops
Had to cut off the excess off my upgraded to truck bolts on the K-Klips while I was at it so the hoop would fit
....and the tail clips
Wasn't entirely happy with just leaving the glue to keep the wires and clips on so decided to use some wee blind rivets
All done
With monies tight I was delighted to find some own brand decent flip clip poles from my local outdoor shop!
Twetyfive pounds ! God love you Craigdon!! |

Hit up Banana couloir near Glenshee....
The board is AMAZING!
No two ways about it. Snow was really good admittedly but I can totally lay to rest any fears that I had about ride-ability/torsional stiffness etc, etc.
It rode beautifully and I'd really never have known it was a split on my feet (having not riden it as a solid ever that's maybe not the most scientific statement......)
But Im so stoked on it!! If anyone's thinking of doing this then go for it, the rewards are immense both in making the thing but the fun of skinning up faces then finding cool stuff to ride when the resorts are grim is just amazing!! |

Glad to hear it worked out.
It looks a bit of an effort but judging by your reaction well worth it. |
