You don't need to, good negative film has a large enough dynamic range without having to resort to HDR or a fake vignette.

I agree with Charlie, I have a DSLR with some nice lenses and an 8megapixel phone camera, but I intend to buy a Holga 120N soon (Plastic medium format camera) - there's just something nice about having photos that were intended to be physically represented

Charlie - Check out a photographer called Neil Krug if you haven't already heard of him, shoots most of his photos on expired polaroid film, have quite a few of his on my Uni wall
