Yes an annual policy covers you for all your holidays. I just happens to include kick-bottom cover for winter holidays.

www.snowboardclub.co.uk/insurance

It does say summer included under SCUK RECOMMENDS in bold.

As above it does cover summer holidays as well as skiing holidays. I went to New York last August and checked before I travelled!

We don't go on "skiing holidays" here! Wink

Also worth mentioning you'll save 10% on premiums as a SCUK Member. Also worth noting here, that the premiums are adjusted for market conditions, etc. at the end of the year, so let's just say getting an annual policy now might be prudent if you've already got something booked or looking to go away soon.

just saw the notice about SCUK no longer doing insurance due to the price increase.. shame. I hope you manage to find another company to help you provide the insurance

B**locks! I need to renew before the 13th! Looks like I'll have to find something elsewhere.

www.snowboardclub.co.uk/insurance

Don't ask. We found out the Friday before Christmas that tagconnect wanted to double the majority of premiums for 2012 as they were losing money on the scheme. This was largely in part to one HUGE claim last year, but also due to general losses across the board.

They've looked at alternatives and they're no good for us, so we're now looking for alternative partners. As you can imagine there hasn't been much progress on that over Christmas.

We hope to be able to offer something special again, but it is all up the air right now. We do apologise for any inconvenience and hope to have a replacement soon.

As stated any policies you already have are all fine.

Balls! Was just going to renew my insurance with them at lunch time. Any chance this will get sorted by the 18th Feb? Or if not, any recommendations for who to go with for insurance?

We'll hopefully have some news this week or early next, but I won't personally recommend anybody else as we'd rather grab the commission ourselves!!! Smile

I'll hang tight then and hope you get it sorted before the 13th! I've just had a look through other options and they're nearly all double what the SCUK one was or more and have worse cover with respect to covering things like off piste, park and the single item limit.
