Just trying to find our the name of the company that is responsible for the snow making at the likes of Cfe, Hemel etc. Plus would be good to know the background to the Tamworth dome, as that has a different system for snow making.
Anybody know more...

the old rumour was that tam take (or make depending on how you look at it) the snow from the ice rink on site.
it's always been denied but after speaking to an ex employee who told me they were instructed to never give this info away, coupled with the fact that some dudes round the corner from here were a riding a rail on ice scrapping collected from the local patinioire (and was identical to tam!) i'm inclided to believe its true. |

| Yes, I've also heard that rumour that Tam make its 'snow' from ice. I wouldn't be surprised if it was true given the snow there is quite different from the real stuff and the snow at HH. |

yeah but we've all seen the pictures of hemel machines running, i've never seen any evidence of tamworths snowmaking. only thing i've got to go on is what i'm told and what i've seen, the rest is a combination my tiny little brain joining the dots and/or believing what i'm told
If you say you've seen the snow blowers going there than so be it! |

| I believe tamworth is the only slope in the uk that basically uses crushed ice for the snowmaking, because when it was built it was the most cost effective method. They definitley don't have snow cannons like the modern slopes. |

| I think it's Acer SnowMec who provide snowmaking for all the domes in the UK (other than Tam), definitely Xscape anyway. http://www.acersnowmec.com/ |
