Well start here:
http://www.snowboardclub.co.uk/Web_Link ... cid-8.html
All but Tamworth SnowDome use Acer Snowmec. Tamworth is Prosnow International originally out of Adelaide, AUS at Mt Thebarton - the first ever indoor slope, which spiralled down from the ceiling of an icerink. That re-branded SnowDome eventually to match Tamworth, but closed in 2005. There are no cannons at Tamworth and it's understood it's ice scrapings, which seem to work quite well
Acer Snowmec is based in Birmingham and are also responsible for several other big indoor slopes around the world.
There have been three other indoor slopes in the UK. Speke, Telford and Chatham - all small and all now closed under various circumstances.
SCUK's predecessor "TheBoarder" basically started to cover the UK's indoor slopes 'cos I wanted to learn how to write these new-fangled websites back in the 90s. |

What we really need is a Ski-Trac. Maglev platform with a never ending run.

Once proposed for the Millennium Dome. I've been following these since the 90s and there's still not one built.
Looks like a sure fire way to squish some skiers |
