| That just looks stupid. Not to mention painfully awkward to use. A 1m pole should be able to capture you and your board. He looks like he's using this to follow someone else, not himself? |

Has anyone used an xshot 1 or 2 yet while on the slopes?
I find it hard to believe that the camera won't spin with the shocks and bumps with you not being able to lock the sections.
Also on their website it doesn't offer its self up as being able to be used like this. Normally they'll use every little plus point in an ad/description!?
Used xshot 1 last year but not with go pro with my panasonic tz10.

The tz10 is a lot heavier than the go pro which stops the sections spinning.
I have since purchased a go pro and tried it on the pole unfortunately its too light and spins for fun.
Will have to get something else for this season. |

Vids are at the bottom of that page. Perhaps you need to be a fan of SCUK of Facebook to see them. No idea what mode it was in, but probably the default as I don't think I've ever changed it.
I can't see point of having a pocket camera that needs a rucksack to carry the monopod in! If you carry a rucksack anyway, then fine, but for me the GoPro is all about a bit of a laugh and actually getting some footage of your own riding, rather than your mates'. |

I can't seem to find anywhere in the UK selling Xshot 2.0's, so I'm considering the Big Ushot. I'm not fussed that it doesn't fit in a pocket because it easily fits in a bag. The only problem is that they come in silly colours! Why don't they make a white one?!
So before I take the plunge, does anyone know if you can get an offical Xshot 2.0 in the UK or are there any other monopods that I should take a look at?
Thanks |

| I can only find the Ushot on ebay. It looks like my decision has been made for me. |
