AMC’s season one of “The Walking Dead” had a series average of 3.5 million Adults 18-49 making it then the most watched drama series in basic cable history for the demo. The season averaged 5.2 million total viewers.
“‘The Walking Dead’ is one of those rare television programs that reaches both a core genre fan as well as broad audiences simply looking for a great, character-based story. We’re so proud of and grateful for the amazing team on both sides of the camera who works so hard and is so committed to making this a unique programming event,” said Charlie Collier, AMC’s president. “That ‘The Walking Dead’ is now the most watched drama in the history of basic cable is staggering, just like our zombies.”

| Ok I've never seen this, but as soon as I read the word ZOMBIES, I've decided that I need to watch it. I shall "aquire" this over the weekend I reckon! |

| I saw the first couple of episodes from teh first season but it clashed with skateboarding so i never got to see the rest which is a shame cos it looked rather good. will have to check season 1 oot! anywhere I can watch it legally? |

| Easy enough "to rent" it if you ain't a fan of newsies, streaming can go eat a dick too. It's like downloading but without the ability to re-watch it whenever you want. |
