| I'm interested in mountaineering and have started indoor climbing. I've done some googling but if you have any companies you can recommend in Scotland or Wales for any courses! Ta |

ah sorry dude... I was taught my dad and then his Pal, so have no ideas about courses but they do exist surely?
i have done a couple of courses on mountain saftey and seminas from climbers on techniques but never a skills course. Would have been useful though. |

any decent indoor wall wil have posters advertising courses like this on their noticeboard.
I did some training with a bloke called Terry in North wales once and it was very good and useful. Generally with climbing if you express an interest people will bend over backwards to help you out.
Or you could join something like Brighton Explorers or whatever your local equivalent is.
*edit* Brighton Explorers may in fact be a different type of club and mainly meet at the pavillion gardens naked sauna, so make sure you check that kind of thing. |

Need to replace my Harness, Any suggestions/recommendations on where to go to get a good deal? Only really after an all round/multi purpose harness towards the indoor end. Cheaper the better as always!
Only place local to me (Oxford) is Go Outdoors and their selection is pretty w@nk! |

| I really like troll harnesses, I have a magma, but i also have a wild country, and a DMM have had in the past Petzl and black diamond, I like the troll as they have really chunky waist band and loads of gear loops... climbing indoor you probably don't need loads of gear loops. so i'd just go online and pick the one you like the lok of at th best price... they are all much the same. |

Guessed they are all much of a muchness now, was just seeing if anyone had any good or bad experiences with a particular harness.
Gear loops aren't that important to me, just after a light but comfortable one, a gym/sport harness with a tiny bit more padding!
Only ever had petzl harnesses as hand me downs/borrow (as I'm a part timer!) from my brand whore of a brother (if he likes one brand, he'll stay with it for life, regardless of it it is the best!)!
Know of any good places to go to or just knock out the usual places? |

| Try get one with adjustable legs. Its a pain in the arse if you wanna wear more clothes one day and the legs are too tight for you |

| Always had adjustable legs but as I'm an indoor/fairweather climber I don't need them. Nice to have but if the price is right on a harness with out them, I could be swayed! |
